Among the many brands are Jonathan Alder, Acctim, Brokis, Fiorelli, Read Between The Lines and Royal Apothic. So let's take a look at some of these stationery. They make really good gifts if I may say so! It's a feel good kind of store. 

Look around and if nothing has caught your eye, you need to look around harder. There's so much to like about the designs of these products.

Noticed the words they use and their font? It's totally about the words. Sorry, it's just me loving the choice of witty words.

I know of friends who love note books with special designs so this is one place I will be visiting when it is his birthday or something.

What do you know about the brand 3.1 Phillips Lim?

Here's a brief intro to the brand:

Phillip Lim is an American fashion designer of Chinese descent. Lim co-founded and worked at the Los Angeles based fashion label Development from 2000 to 2004. In the fall of 2005, he co-founded 3.1 Phillip Lim with friend and business partner Wen Zhou, becoming the company's creative director. Lim has garnered both critical and commercial success with his eponymous line. The Council of Fashion Designers of America awarded Lim the 2007 award for Emerging Talent in Womenswear for his work at 3.1 Phillip Lim. In 2012, he was awarded the Council's Swarovski award for Menswear.

What just Moo-ved into Town at 313?

What new initiatives do they have in place? Ben & Jerry's are supporting local businesses such as:

1) SCORE Bakery which supplies brownies, cookies and herbs and work to rehabilitate inmates through skills training
2) Edible Garden City which is a group of urban farmers who champion the Grow Your Own Food movement in Singapore.

With this new flagship shop, they have a new Benefit Tuesday Night programme planned. It will run on a Tuesday every month, allowing local welfare organisations to engage the public on their causes, of which 20% of the sales during their evening events will be donated to featured social mission partners. Also, profits from the new sundae created by Samantha Lee will go these social mission partners.

What sundae? How does it look like? Must look really fanciful and well-crafted since it is from Samantha? Well, take a look for yourself.

Samantha is known for her creative and fun works of food art and when it comes to ice cream, she has likewise shown that she can make something interesting out of it. 

When we tried out creating our own food art for ourselves, she shared with us that she judged based on creativity and not the outcome. It may seem like nothing much but think about it, if only our education system or our society valued this, I wonder how much more talents we would then discover. With that said, what can you imagine us creating with the ingredients available below? I shall give you some room to visualise and imagine.

Get Soaked with Hasbros at W's Endless Summer Pool Party

Having rained in the morning, we were hoping that the least the weather could do for us is stay clear, so the pool at W's wouldn't be overly cold. Thankfully, it did better than that. It became a typical afternoon, the type of hot weather Singaporeans are used to.

So what do we look forward to when the weather gets hot and unbearable? A swim, that's what! We certainly spared no time in getting into the pool. However, today, it was special. It was a Hasbros themed pool party, so we had access to Super Soakers!!!

It's time to get soaked with Hasbro's Super Soakers!

We had a few water guns to choose from and I came to love this Super Soaker I was using. Unlike some guns which shot many streams of water at a lower range, the one I was using allowed me to cover much ground and all it needed was that one shot to hit the target. You can feel the intensity for yourself, it definitely packed a punch.

The above photo shows the full size of the Super Soaker I chose to arm myself with. It was pretty huge and required both the simultaneous use of the trigger and the pump in order to shoot successfully.

It was an afternoon of Super Soaker fun! As long as you hold a water gun, you are a possible target, or so we learned after we became targets of kids. With one of Hasbro's Super Soakers in your hands, the inner child in you gets awakened. Fire away with their water guns and game on! Shoot or be shot.

Marc By Marc Jacob launched their Spring Summer 2015 collection last Thursday at Mandarin Gallery and everyone was having fun taking videos of their funky moves with photo.

A Cone A Day Keeps The Hate Away with Ben & Jerry's!

It is the time of year for free ice cream from Ben & Jerry's!!! Wohoo! There are 18 flavours to choose from and you can get your free scoops in all of their scoops shops, namely Vivocity, Dempsey and 313 Somerset.

What's so special about Free Cone Day this year? They are launching their Free Cone Day FM on 14th April to thank us (their fans). So cool right? They have a channel dedicated to us, for us to do our song requests and all we need to do is Instagram or Tweet (@benandjerrysg) our messages and songs requests or comment on selected posts on their Facebook page with the hashtag #FCDSG. According to them, their DJs will also be turning fans’ messages into songs to bring a little joy and laughter and selected dedications aired will be featured across all their scoop shops real-time.

Interesting idea yea? So while waiting for our free cones, we can keep our ears peeled for song requests from friends, or really weird and funny dedications for our friends? Hahaha. I can imagine all the funny messages we will be sending each other. /Points index fingers together in anticipation as imagination trails off...

Ok, so a little more about Ben and Jerry's latest efforts. In conjunction with the Diverse-city trails, this Free Cone Day, Ben & Jerry’s will be supporting South Central Community Family Service Centre (FSC), a champion of social innovation projects that cultivate the kampong spirit and promote community self-help. So, South Central Community FSC volunteers will be at the scoop shops to share more about their initiatives, so don't find it strange if you see them and say hi ok? All donations made to South Central Community FSC on Free Cone Day will be used to set up a community emergency fund to match community efforts to help their neighbours out of financial crises.

Now that we know what to expect, mark down on your calendars that 14th April is FCD! Go early to avoid the queues like all kiasu Singaporeans do. See you there!
